Cesme & Alacati | Izmir Cesme Transfer

A sleepy and unspoilt port city of Alacati offers a pastoral sea break on the Aegean Sea with its low mountains, swinging at the bottom, a calm turquoise sea and narrow cobbled streets lined with comfortable outdoor cafes and restaurants. Dating back to the 14th century, the town is an unpretentious place scattered with ivory-colored stone houses and rustic wooden hotels with old wooden doors and pastel-colored window shutters covered with purple and pink bougainvilleas.

Alacati is largely unexplored except Turkey, fleeing the scene in many more tourist passing by Bodrum, including several national celebrities. It is also known as one of the best windsurf destinations in the world.

The town is quiet during the day when most visitors flock to the beaches around Alaçatı. From the lively beach clubs that host parties and concerts at sunset, they extend more intimately to families and those worshiping the quiet sun. All are from one to 10 km from the town, some are only accessible by boat. However, Alacati evenings, cobblestone streets, open-air cafes, interesting antiques and souvenir shops are appealing to the locals and tourists. Others turn to beach bars and restaurants in the harbor and marina. The tourist spot in Cote d'Amr is tiled with private watts, directly designed in the back gardens of several traditional Mediterranean houses with terracotta roofs that inspired an old Aegean fishing village, designed by late French architect Francois Spoerry, designed in Port Grimaud.

The Aegean coast is not completely related to the beaches. The region around Izmir, including Alacati and nearby Cesme district, makes up about fifth percentage of the country's wine. About a 15-minute drive from Alacati, Cesme Bagcilik is one of the leading vineyards and it is worth visiting the picturesque views from the watchtower. Visitors can sit on top of the tower to enjoy the view while browsing the wines.

Alacati hosts many festivals and events, including the new Horizons Festival, which takes place every summer and autumn. The tastes, workshops and shows of local and international chefs celebrate the recipes and culinary traditions of the Aegean cuisine.
